In 1961, after a contest, he joined the Lithuanian circus group, owned by “Sojuzgoscirk” (Big Soviet Circus).

Together with his partner Vytautas Kazlauskas, he started the artist's career with act -
“Acrobats- eccentrics”. The soviet circus encyclopedia writes that their show was unique for high standards of technique and artistry.
In 1975 he and his wife Lydia prepared the show
“A game with lasso and whips”.
In 1979, after graduating from the ringmaster courses, he started working as an artistic director and ringmaster.
In 1989 he was appointed to the position of the director of the Moscow circus “Yantar”. Since 1991, since the very first day of the theatre “DiArchy”, he has been working as a director of the theatre.
